Journal 027 – No more drama in my life..

No more drama in my life..

Our Chartered Tax Advisors structure the tax-efficient passing of assets from this generation to the next, from you to your kids, and grandkids

It’s about legacy planning services to help people do the things they already want to do but, for a lack of a well-designed solution, don’t do

Kinda like in the classic Aesop’s fable, where a hungry fox stumbles across a bunch of ripe grapes hanging from a vine

The fox badly wanted those grapes but, as hard as he tried, he just could not reach them

Frustration and disappointment sets in, and the fox rationalises that the grapes must be sour, and he doesn’t want them anyway

The fox changed his perception of the grapes because he just couldn’t get his head around the thought the grapes are ripe and ready, yet he just can’t have them

To reconcile these two conflicting ideas, the fox changed his perception of the grapes and, in the process, relieves the pain of what psychologists call ‘cognitive dissonance’

This irrational manipulation of how one sees the world is not restricted to fictional characters in make-believe situations, humans do it too

Oftentimes, when we first engage with new clients, they recount experiences that suggest the inability of their previous advisor to produce solutions to their problems, has somehow manifested itself in the thought process ‘they couldn’t do it, so it can’t be done’

Worse, it plays to HMRC’s preferred narrative, that legitimate tax planning is somehow the same as tax-avoidance

Reality is, most all of us have just about 4,000 weeks on the planet. Before we leave we can choose to tax-efficiently pass our lifetime’s work to our children

It is entirely legal to do so, and our Chartered Tax Advisors want to help you. The first hour’s conversation is for FREE. Book here
